part-time worship leader

We are looking for our next worship leader at Eastern Heights Baptist Church!

The Worship Leader will help fulfill the vision of the church: plan, coordinate, and administer the corporate worship of the church; build and direct a team of passionate worshippers to lead in worship.

The Worship Leader is expected to be a person “above reproach,” to have the highest integrity as fitting a minister of Jesus Christ, and to carry this integrity in all aspects of life including family, church, and community.

QUALIFICATIONS

The worship leader will:

Maintain a vital and wholesome personal relationship with Jesus Christ through daily Bible study and prayer.
Have musical aptitude and knowledge.
Have experience in leading worship.
Have an understanding of the goals of worship and styles that achieve those goals with different groups.
Be an active member in their current church and willing to move membership to EHBC.
Be theologically conservative and in full agreement with Eastern Heights Baptist Church Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
Be a team player and willing to be subject to pastoral and church oversight.

RESPONSIBILITIES

THE WORSHIP LEADER WILL:

Lead worship during Sunday morning worship services.
Work with Pastor in planning weekly worship services, as well as special worship services.
Serve as Worship Team Representative on the Ministry Leadership Team.
Submit yearly budgetary requests to the Stewardship Team and oversee expenditures for church worship.
Lead in special services or events as they relate to worship.
Coordinate audio visual needs for worship services.
Manage and coordinate with all musicians. This includes a weekly rehearsal and sound check making sure everyone is prepared to lead in worship.
Perform other duties as assigned by the pastor.
