WHERE WE BEGAN:
Eastern Heights Baptist Church began as a mission of First Baptist Church of Bartlesville in 1968 after years of a vision to plant a church and reach those living in southeast Bartlesville. On October 10, 1968 forty-nine people met in the Seventh Day Adventist Church building to start the mission. On October 18, 1970 they constituted as a church and were completely self-supporting. In November of 1971 the church moved into its new facility on its present campus.
With the same vision to reach the people of Bartlesville, Eastern Heights continues to bring glory to God as we engage Bartlesville and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We engage while we live with five priorities: Worshiping God, Obeying God’s Word, Reaching the Lost, Loving Each Other, and Discipling Believers.
After more than 50 years as a church, we continue to impact our city and world. Through partnerships with Hope Clinic, Bounce, Bethel Builders, Washington-Osage Baptist Association and Manna Ministries of Malawi we implement innovated strategies to reach those who need to know Christ. Through relevant children and youth ministries we raise the next generation of leaders who are ready to continue our legacy and mission. LifeGroups and other discipleship opportunities help build community and train in godliness. It is our goal to be a multigenerational congregation that is engaging the world together with the Gospel.
