Is there something special for my children?

During Life Groups on Sunday morning at 9:30 we have classes from nursery through senior adults. We strive to meet the needs of the entire family.  Birth- 4 year olds check in at the yellow star seen below.  Kindergarten through 5th grades meet on the second floor which can be entered at the red star below.  Students (6th -12th grades) meet in room 15. Adults meet in the classrooms around the chapel.

During our Sunday morning worship service (10:45) you will find our nursery staff is well trained and ready to love on your children. Preschool Church is for children who have not yet entered Kindergarten.   Nursery and Preschool Church check in at the yellow star as seen on map below.

On Wednesday evenings at 6:30 during the school year Pre-K through 5th grade meet for HeightsKids.  Children not yet in Kindergarten will need to have a parent or responsible adult attending the Adult Bible Study.  (A nursery is also available for parents attending the adult Bible Study.)  The children will have a fun filled evening learning Bible Skills, Drills & Thrills, a fun filled Bible Skills Curriculum .  They have fun as they learn God's Word and apply it to their life.

What do you offer students in middle school and high school?

We have an exciting ministry for these students at an extremely important time of their life.  Besides Life Groups on Sunday mornings at 9:30 we offer an exciting student-centered Bible study on Wednesday evening at 6:30.

What should we wear?

You will find people wearing just about anything on a Sunday morning at Eastern Heights. Many find it more comfortable to attend in casual clothes while others like to dress up a bit. You will not be judged by what you wear. Jesus accepted people just as they were, and we will too.

What is your worship music like?

You will find a mostly contemporary worship service that finds contemporary ways to incorporate the great hymns of the past. The goal is congregational participation and not entertainment. Instruments that are normally used during the service are piano, guitar, keyboard, bass guitar, electric guitar, and drums.

Will I be asked to give any personal information?

How much you disclose about yourself is completely up to you.  If you have young kids who will be attending in areas not in the Worship Center you will be asked to provide necessary information when you check them in.  We always encourage our guests to fill out a Connection Card but it is completely voluntary.  When you are ready for us to engage you, fill out the card located in the chair back or online and we will joyfully find out how we can serve you and your family.

What is the process for becoming members?

When you and your family are ready to discuss membership let the pastor know either in person or by calling the church office. The pastor will set up a time to visit with you about what church membership means and how the process works.
