We're glad you're here!
We know going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Eastern Heights a great one!
You might be wondering, "What's it really like at Eastern Heights?" To put it simply, we're all about Jesus. We're imperfect people who serve a perfect God. This means that you will not be met with shame, guilt, or condemnation. We don't care how you are dressed or who you voted for. We want to provide you a welcoming, safe place, where you can experience the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus.

SUNDAY MORNING ACTIVITIES:
We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.
Life Groups are provided for all ages each Sunday morning at 9:30. Our greeters will help you with a listing of classes and their locations.
Our Sunday morning worship service is about an hour and 15 minutes long. Our Worship Service includes music, Scripture reading, prayer and giving. Pastor Ryan Forrest and our Worship Team lead the church in music. Pastor Lucas Smith shares a message focused on Scripture and following Jesus.
Where is the best place for me to park?
Our guest parking is located in the north parking lot. They are labeled and in a convenient location. (see map)
What do you offer for children?
Your kids are of the utmost importance to us here at Eastern Heights. We take great effort in providing a clean, safe, and fun environment for kids to learn about Jesus. All of our workers have completed training and background checks annually. No adult is ever left alone with any child at any time.
During our Sunday Morning Worship Service (10:45) you will find our nursery staff is well trained and ready to love on your children. Preschool Church is for children who have not yet entered Kindergarten. We encourage children over the age of Kindergarten to participate in the Worship Service.
On Wednesday evenings at 6:30 during the school year we have a children's program, Team 4:12, for Kindergarten through 5th grades. Children not yet in Kindergarten will need to have a parent or guardian attending the Adult Bible Study. Children will have fun as they learn God's Word and apply it to their life.
What do you offer students in middle school and high school?
We have an exciting ministry for these students at an extremely important time of their life. Besides Life Groups on Sunday mornings at 9:30, we offer a student-centered class on Wednesday evening at 6:30.
What should we wear?
You will find people wearing just about anything on a Sunday morning at Eastern Heights. Many find it more comfortable to attend in casual clothes while others like to dress up a bit. You will not be judged by what you wear. Jesus accepted people just as they were, and we will too.
What is your worship music like?
You will find a mostly contemporary worship service that finds contemporary ways to incorporate the great hymns of the past. The goal is congregational participation and not entertainment. Instruments that are normally used during the service are piano, guitar, keyboard, bass guitar, electric guitar, and drums.
Will I be asked to give any personal information?
How much you disclose about yourself is completely up to you. If you have young kids who will be attending in areas not in the Worship Center, you will be asked to provide necessary information when you check them in. We always encourage our guests to fill out a Connect Card, but it is completely voluntary. When you are ready for us to engage you, fill out the card located in the chair back or online and we will joyfully find out how we can serve you and your family.
What is the process for becoming members?
When you and your family are ready to discuss membership let the pastor know either in person, by calling the church office, or by filling out fill out the Connect Card located in the chair back or online, marking it as wanting to talk to the pastor. The pastor will set up a time to visit with you about what church membership means and how the process works.
